LOCAL ROOFING. BUILT ON TRUST.

About S L Construction Roofing

S L Construction Roofing serves homeowners from two Indiana service hubs: Fort Wayne for Northeast Indiana and Shelbyville for East Central Indiana. We provide roof inspections, repairs, replacements, storm-damage help, and exterior remodeling with straightforward recommendations and quality craftsmanship.

Built on Faith, Experience & Quality Craftsmanship

S L Construction was founded with a simple mission: serve our community with honesty, craftsmanship, and faith-driven values.

Owner Steve began working in construction at 18 and later spent seven years framing homes for Lancia Homes. At 25, he started S L Construction. As the company grew, Bob joined the team, bringing 18 years of construction experience and strengthening the company’s commitment to dependable workmanship and customer service.

Today, the company specializes in roofing while bringing broader construction knowledge to every project. Expansion into Shelbyville created a second local service hub so homeowners can receive local attention in both regions.

Faith, family, and service to our community remain at the center of how the company operates.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

Why Homeowners Choose S L Construction Roofing

Roofing is a major investment. Our approach is built around clear communication, experienced crews, respect for your property, and recommendations based on what your roof actually needs.

Straightforward Recommendations

We start with the condition of your roof—not a predetermined sales pitch. If a repair makes sense, we explain it. If replacement is the better long-term option, we show you why.

Experienced Roofing Team

Our construction background gives us a broader understanding of decking, ventilation, flashing, siding, and the exterior systems that work together to protect your home.

Respect for Your Property

Our crews focus on efficient installation, organized job sites, thorough cleanup, and clear communication from inspection through project completion.

Local Service, Regional Reach

With service hubs in Fort Wayne and Shelbyville, homeowners receive local attention backed by a roofing company serving communities across two Indiana regions.

Efficient Roof Replacement

Many residential roof replacements can be completed in a single day, depending on size, complexity, weather, and any decking repairs discovered during tear-off.

10-Year Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind qualifying full replacement work with a 10-year workmanship warranty, in addition to applicable manufacturer material warranties.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. S L Construction was a great company to work with. From the day we received a quote to the days after the project was complete, Steve and his team communicated every step along the way. They scheduled quickly, gave us all the details we needed to know and ensured our satisfaction with their work, which was excellent. In addition to working extremely hard on a very hot day, the team who did the job was thoughtful, courteous, and willing to answer any questions we had before they got started at approximately 7 am. By 4:30 they had finished the roof and had the yard cleaned up without a trace that they were ever here. Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend SL Construction. They were very easy to work with, very responsive, and answered all of my questions before and after our roof project. The work they did was excellent and they had it all done in 1 day. My property was meticulously cleaned after they finished and I was not billed until they touched base with me to verify that I was satisfied.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Totally positive experience. I needed a roof, but had a budget. I couldn't believe that they came in almost half of what a couple of other places quoted. They showed up on time, worked very efficiently, and cleaned up so well you couldn't even tell they were here. They explained everything to me so that I made the right choices. I now have a 50-year shingle that I will never have to worry about during my lifetime. Thank you Steve and Bob!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. S&L has completed several projects for us at our home and at our church. They replaced our entire house roof a couple of years ago, and it is very good. Early in 2026, we experienced wind damage to our home, with our chimney top blown off. We were out of town at the time. We called Steve, and they sent a crew quickly to assess the damage. They covered the opening, and worked diligently for a solution to repair the chimney. At this same time, our roof on our church sustained a lot of damage. Even though they had many calls for other customers, they quickly covered the damage. They then gave us a very reasonable quote, and replaced our roof on the church. Their quality and integrity is above what is seen much of the time, and we would highly recommend S&L Construction to anyone needing their services.

The crew cleaned up my yard after so I don’t need to worry about my pups stepping on anything. Highly recommend!
